Changing the ending
For Sudan, earlier pages on this website have identified the beginnings and brought out the horror of where we are.
Our mission is to alleviate suffering in Sudan—to change the ending, to rewrite history.
Our founders are from Sudan, but we created NASS as a platform for all nations—all humans who believe in goodness and feel the need to give Sudanese civilians what should be their right: the chance to live and thrive.
We may not have the power to stop wars, but together we can make kindness and humanity prevail.
Why NASS?
NASS is the brainchild of Tayseer El-Hassan, a consultant paediatrician, a Fellow of the Royal College of Paedriatics & Child Health. Her fellow trustees have wide experience, medical skills, legal skills, financial skills and organisational skills.
Above all, they know Sudan, with families and other close contacts in the country.
For the details, browse our NASS page.
Our aims
1. (Now) To support refugees and the displaced.
2. (Continuing) To help them relocate once it’s safe to do so.
3. (Each time the opportunity arises) To establish small-scale community centres (in some cases incorporating a bakery)—where locals may go for basic support, where healthcare may be found,
and where children can take up their lost schooling.
